Customers Appreciation Program and Giveaway

2012 is not over yet, but we have learned a lot of things within this year. It is quite amazing how fate has brought us here, but we are thankful for anything and anyone who have been involved in the process of finding the right place for us to start growing as both individuals and craft lovers. We have actually start to share the mutual interest in sewing since we were in high school.  We remember the first bags we made from mica plastic material and wore it anywhere we go at that time. Several years later, we have just realized that this is the type of living that we will enjoy to live day by day. So we start to be more focused on this field. After several months of starting La Conchita and finding our perfect rhythm, we finally understood how to start doing this. Of course there are still many flaws here and there, but as the gratitude for all the chance and opportunities that our beloved family, friends, and customers have given, we decided to arrange our first custome...

Catching Up and La Conchita Donation Program

By Eka It's been a while since the last time we blogged here. Well, as some Facebook friends may have noticed, these couple of months we start to be focused on creating handmade bags as our main focus. We made several types of bags, and the market response was quite enthusiastic. This is why, we start to decide getting more serious in developing our brand and assessing the market's specific preference on handmade bags. Some pics of the bags from our "SOLD" album on FB :) We also start to build our own website, which after several months of juggling between our main jobs, custom orders, and social life, it is finally ready in the 7 months anniversary of La Conchita. We are glad that we have started this path and we will try to catch up what we have left soon after we sort things out. On another note. We have some donation reports to do. Thanks for our generous clients and friends, we can finally join the donation program which was arranged in our neig...

Indonesian Crafter Gathering With La Conchita

by Eka. As I've mentioned before, Tata and I were involved in arranging Indonesian Crafter Gathering Regional Malang as requested by mba Sarie from Asimetris . And guess what?  We decided to go a little bit further by sponsoring the event and arranging the party theme with the help of mba Sarie. And after two weeks of meetings and plannings, we came up with Shabby Chic party theme which located at O-ren Resto & Lounge. It is a nice quite place which make it perfect to make our small gathering more personal. For the decor, we made pompoms from tissue paper, buntings, and crepe streamers We also made bunting for the guest book, and it shaped as houses to comply this month's IC challenge (home sweet home). We also have bottles as the table decor, with vintage flowers and origami lilies made by mba Sarie.   To comply the "crafty" theme, I made sweet button cupcakes and tasty thread spools made from sausages and noodles.   It is very nice to know that...

Indonesian Crafter Monthly Challenge: 19th Century American Girl

By: Tata and Eka. As the members of Indonesian Crafters , we are challenged to make crafts with specific theme each month. This month is country craft challenge, and we decided to contribute our craftworks by creating 19th century American Girl Style. Tata made this short petticoat dress by reconstruct/revamp her old cardigan and skirt.   And creating this fascinator as the accessory.   Eka made this Victorian fan and purse to comply the entire look.       We had so much fun in creating the crafts and taking pictures in a beautiful place called Oma View Residence, near Eka’s home.     Most of the crafts were made by recycling our old stuff. We will post some of the tutorials in this blog later. This month’s challenge is so exciting. And do you know other exciting news we get today? Sari from Asimetris asked Eka to join her hosting a gathering for Indonesian Crafter Members in Malang Area. After checking out the previous gatherings ...

A nice venue with great ambience.. perfect to be enjoyed with delicious foods and nice people.. A lot of cute young ladies with fancy dresses and pretty smiles come to the birthday bash.. Even Mbakyu Malang Junior (the winner of our junior beauty pageant) attended the party! (She is the one with the fuscia dress) We surely had a lot of fun! Here is the birthday girl with her mom.  Isn't she looks young and gorgeous for a mom of a 12 years old girl? And here I am wearing my handmade headband, with a fellow host :) Finally, Happy 12-year-old Birthday, Icha! May your teen years be great years that comes with day after day of fun!
